Weston-Waters for Team Finnan's Gift
Story
This year Tony, Sam, Jess and a family friend Ellie Waters are participating in the Melbourne Marathon Festival on October 16th to help raise funds for Finnan's Gift at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne (unfortunately Danielle is away).
Tony & Samantha are attempting the 10km run and Jessica & Ellie (both 16) are attempting the 5.7km run. They are in training and feeling optimistic that they can achieve their goal!
Finnan's Gift was set up by Alisa and Oliver Camplin-Warner to honour their son Finnan who was diagnosed in-utero with congenital heart disease (CHD) and passed away at just 10-days-old. The project aims to raise funds for The Royal Children's Hospital and awareness for CHD, which is the leading cause of death in young children in Australia.
We've joined Team Finnan's Gift and will take part in the Melbourne Marathon Festival to help raise the $250,000 needed for the 2017 grant. These funds will help purchase vital equipment for the life support machines used on children in intensive care.
Thank you so much for your support!
Tony, Samantha, Jessica Weston & Ellie Waters xx
Activity
Finnan's Gift – supporting the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation
With your support, Finnan's Gift will help save and improve lives by providing tangible gifts to The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. Whether it be a piece of critical equipment, much needed research, advanced training or greater support for patients and families, Finnan's Gift makes a difference while raising awareness of Congenital Heart Disease.
We are incredibly proud of the many gifts made so far and all who've helped make it possible. We hope you will find it within your strong working heart to make a donation or help raise funds, which will improve the odds for all the children whose little hearts still need serious help.
With love,
Alisa & Oliver Camplin-Warner
